late night posting

My sleeping habits are getting weirder.

This semester especially...

I sleep every alternate night...and today just happens to be a night where i just can't put myself to bed.

I've even resorting to asking people "How do you sleep?" and they'll say something like count sheep or think of nothing...but doing those can make me lie in bed for hours till sunlight streams through the window binds..

shrugs.

maybe i'm superwoman.

haha. one good thing is that i can wash my clothes late at night and the best washing machine there is MINE!!!=)



anyway i'm moving out of my hall after this semester.

i'm really feeling all nostalgic over it.

I'm moving out right after exams and i decided to start packing tonight cos i got too many things to bring back i need days.

sigh.

i've somehow shown more attachment to this place than home..

and i'm sad i'm leaving this haven of my own.

its like my retreat...a place a look forward to going after a long day at school..

the hardest thing about moving into the hall turns out to be leaving it..

look at these bags.. i've barely cleared a few drawrs and shelves..

Still got the clothes, bags, shoes, food and files :S AND MY TELEVISION ,PRINTER, RADIO AND SPEAKERS SOMEMORE!!!

Its so scary how a truckload of stuff can be stuffed in my tiny hostel!!!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. shall go mug now...since i can't sleep anyway...

to lala: when you read this...your final exam will probably be over!!! =) gong xi gong xi. can't wait to go out with you =)

=) since lala needed some destressing from her exams.. i shall blog!
heh. i'm on this tight schedule of mugging for exams but i'm finding it so hard to concentrate!! and my biological clock is so screwed up i can't sleep at night at all. its weird how when the time comes for you to work hard, you try so hard to, but you also seem more interested in everything else except studying..

My family went to the beach on Good Friday and it was like super crowded.. my attempt to fly a kite failed cos there was no wind..but i must have looked pretty dumb to the people there who saw my desperate attempt to fly the kite..
i was running around...changing directions...running again..but the kite only stayed in the air for like 2 seconds or something.
comeon..someone fly a kite with me after exams k =)

Anyway. my family decided to be romantic and have dinner by the beach, on the 2 picnic mats we brought and it was super dark!!!!!
we couldn't make out the food we bought so everyone had to whip out their handphones and shine here and there...
it was pretty funny cos everyone just moved around and like tried to scrutinise at their plates
so many people ate mouthfuls of chilli lah!!! hahahaha!!!!
i decided to play safe and eat the chicken rice ahead of me and scream " where is the hokkien mee and satay" when i wanna eat them.
But it was fun lah! unique experience nonetheless =)

National Museum

me and marco decided to like go relax someday and we went to the National Museum to like check out the new place!

so cool!!!

i like that place!

we had this "companion" thing. which is like some huge ipod with earphones while touring... then along the floors, there would be numbers... so we just key the numbers on the floor into that "companion" to listen to the guide talk about the historical artefacts.

its a pretty cool idea!

but of course...we took our "companions" off halfway lah.. who wants to listen to boring history.. just look at the pretty exhibits inside lah!

There're alot of cool things inside National Museum =) someone go with me again someday? =)

I'm wondering how to spend my holidays already...they suddenly seem like a long period of time to pass...yet, i can't wait for them to come.

2 more weeks to exams!!!

Sometimes ignorance is bliss..
But sometimes, a little more honesty in a couple can bring a relationship up leaps and bounds -removing all barriers between, and erasing any trace of insecurity in our hearts.

A visit to the mentally challenged association home of my "buddy" has made me feel all the love with the world *beams*

I was supposed to have lunch with my buddy Sharon and I found her with her whole company of friends...
everyone was pretty welcoming and i was soon swamped with a whole group of people from the centre whom asked me who I was, talked to me about my life, where I lived and all that.They were also really generous with their compliments. " you're so pretty", " your necklace is so beautiful" or "i like the hair!"...i felt beautiful and very loved within minutes.

I haven't felt that way for a long long time...
it was just amazing how this group of people interacted with each other. and the things they do that make you laugh.

they're very happy people despite their disabilities and being in their company makes you pretty happy too..

Practially plucked me off reality for that one hour-- it was so surreal to be back in a world where you worry about so different things..
They spent the time telling me about the things that made them happy..and they were talking about the scoldings they get from teachers. i felt like i was in primary school...those carefree days..

oh yah! this girl was AMAZING!! she took out like a few SK II masks and started distributing the masks to her friend and put one on herself. she was generous enough to pose for me too =) everyone was saying she's a ghost or something but she insisted she wanted to make her face pretty.
ohman! Can you believe she went off to kick soccer with the guys in that! :P


Love's all around isn't it?
You just have to look around for it.
Some friends I know call me so often and tell me how unloved they are.. how they feel abandoned, how they don't believe in love anymore.
I feel hurt everyone someone i know gives up on love
because love is uplifting, its beautiful, and it just needs time to grow and develop
Look at my buddy and her "darling"... (apparently they all have "darlings" there..)
One call and the guy would come running from his soccer game or his meal to get stuff for the girl. the girl left for merely a few minutes and one guy missed her so much he called her handphone..
another guy asked his "darling" to marry him and announced their wedding to everyone, who burst out in claps and hoots of laughter.

Anyway, my buddy's darling was really sweet.. he was whispering into her ears... getting drinks for her..worrying about this about her and that about her.
Those moments really captivated me.. and made me see love again.
it was only a mere hour of dining with all of them, but i've felt all love in all forms.
Don't ever give up on love people! =)
I still love you, whoever,wherever you all are! *hugs*

think i wanna pick up sign language so i can volunteer at the association of the deaf too =) spread the love eh? =)

STAR DUST!

Zhiqi messaged me one night and asked if i wanted to support Jamie in this singing competition in school... i was totally appalled and excited actually so OF COURSE I WENT!!! Jias was singing too! Helped Jamie and her friend Huiwen do some makeup that day too. heh.
But i was pretty nervous throughout their performance...i think it's because Jamie herself was freaking out ...so she transfered some of her anxiety to me too.

They sang " qing4 zhu4" by rainie yang.. =D cutesy! and yup! they're in the FINALS! =)

Before that, me and cheeks went to holland village... (she said to take the first bus that comes... but after rationalising our options..we realised that actually 95 was the best choice so we hopped on it)
we talked about miss lala's birthday surprise throughout and like everything.. haha.. when old friends meet, hours to catch up never seem enough... how happy.

we shared gelare!! WAFFLES AT HALF PRICE ON TUESDAYS!!

look at the dumb things we were doing... thank goodness no one was like around looking cos we tucked ourselves into some corner.

TALKING IN BED

went for this charity concert by NUS USP that day called Talking in Bed...and erm..let's just say i think Huang Cheng is the best thing on earth...

i think i laughed more when the actors bumped into props during light-outs than i did during the show..and half the show was spent waiting for them to change the scene and bring out the props.

anyway the best thing of that day was my dinner.

i had dinner with my family like last weekend and i suggested going to this place featured on some TV show to eat erm. chicken-wrapped-in-paper..

it was a super super ulu place!!!

like along the road and like a kampung... with chickens clucking while we eat

i thought the restaurant was super funny

it had a disclaimer at the entrance that asked us not to rush the waiters. haha

Ok anyway i was feeling hungry that day and my brother talked me into frying pancakes... (lol..this is super random) but i'm damn proud of them. heh.
